A fishing boat named Alexandros with poppies, Kythnos

A house on an island
that few know.

There is a moment, on the stern of the ferry leaving Kythnos, when you understand everything. It's not melancholy. It's something rarer — the feeling of having found again a rhythm you thought you had lost.

Off The Beaten Path was born from years of dawn ferries from Lavrio, of sunsets at Cape Sounion, of winding roads that lead to silence. Of a bakery hidden in the village, of the lady at the supermarket, of "Γεια σας! Γεια σου! Καλά?" — yasas · yasou · kalá   that echo in the air.

We are not a hotel. We are not a resort. We are a house — run by people who truly love it.

the same silence

Infinity pool meeting the Aegean sea, Kythnos

Where the water
meets the horizon

A shared infinity pool perched above the Aegean. Below, a secluded bay — wild, hard to find, almost always yours alone. And on rare, lucky days, a caretta caretta turtle gliding past, indifferent to the world.

Kythnos —
before everyone else arrived.

No airport, no shortcuts — just a ferry from Lavrion or Piraeus, and the reward of an island that has kept its Cycladic soul intact. Whitewashed villages, 99 beaches, thermal springs, nearly 130 chapels on hills and coves. The kind of place where tradition hasn't been traded for tourism — at least not entirely, and not yet.

We've explored every corner of it. When you stay with us, you get our personal tips and recommendations — the hidden coves, the right tables, the trails few follow.
